And into the field I go …

Hi there, my name is Sara and this is my first blog.

Like so many, the lure of being able to write my own story has grown too strong and I just couldn’t resist any more.
I’m a thirty something woman, an author and marketing director. I’ve set a few businesses up, had a career midlife crisis and  moved into the deepest countryside with my fiancée. So, I thought I might have a few interesting stories to share.

I also decided not to have kids. A long story that we will explore but the upshot of the decision did leave me with a bit of a hole in my life. Then my beloved retriever, Louie, as close as a child as I could get, upped and left me, bless him.

Fair to say I was distraught. Then I made a decision. My life didn’t need to be unfulfilled just because I didn’t have children. Only I could live my life and therefore it was down to me if I wanted it to be extraordinary.

I decided now was the time to get out there and experience as much as I can. Blog about it. Encourage others to try some new things. Publish their stories. Turn these pages into a bible of ideas inspiring people to try something new. Live a life less ordinary.

So that’s the plan. Are you in? Here’s What Sara Did Next …

Farm - What Sara Did Next
A View Across the Fields

Start of 2020 we bought a farm. Me and Mr P (as my fiancée will be henceforth known as).
It was more his dream than mine. We lived in Spain for four enjoyable sun-filled years, but Mr P missed the UK countryside; the rolling hills and the seasons, the people and the Sunday pub lunches, cycling down lanes and kicking up leaves. In short, he missed everything about the UK.

So, we moved back, and all I remembered of the first month was rain (don’t move to the UK in Winter is my advice) with a little ray of light at the end. The keys to our little farm.

In this new world of working from home and social distanced lockdowns, I think a lot of my adventures will be taking place here but that’s cool; there are so many things I would like to try and do …

And into the field I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.
